Emily Zhang is a Chicago based actor with a background in psychology!
She is currently performing as David in Theater of the Mind, created by David Byrne and Mala Gaonkhar, with the Goodman Theatre in downtown Chicago.
Recently, she performed in a staged reading of Katherine Swan’s Blue Eyes with Playground Chicago.
In addition to theatre, she performs improv and sketch comedy around town, such as at The Annoyance, The Bughouse, and iO.
Besides performing, she is a producer and workshop leader with Asian American Arts Chicago!
She graduated from Northwestern University with a BA in Theatre and Psychology, and is represented by Gray Talent Group.

Besides all the theatre stuff I like to train Muay Thai, bother my friends, and attempt ambitious recipes with my brother.
I also work with Resilience as a volunteer medical advocate and training presenter.
